Meet Jahnova, a talented tattoo artist hailing from the vibrant city of Sacramento, California. Her journey in the world of tattooing began in Atlanta at the start of 2019. Over the course of a year, she immersed herself in learning the craft, honing her skills by observing and shadowing experienced artists. It was during the summer of 2020, amidst the pandemic, that Jahnova took the plunge and started tattooing. She embraced the challenges and embarked on a journey across the United States, seeking opportunities to learn from exceptional artists and showcasing her skills as a traveling artist.
Joining the cast of Black Ink Crew brought forth a unique and unforgettable experience for Jahnova. While she had no specific expectations in mind, her approach was simple: be true to herself, work diligently, and have fun. The camaraderie among the artists living together in a mansion was a source of joy and excitement. Despite the inevitable challenges that arose throughout the process, Jahnova found immense support from her castmates. She is proud of the entire group, acknowledging that not everyone possesses the resilience and strength required to thrive on television.
The setup of living together in a house exceeded Jahnova's expectations. As an only child accustomed to living alone, she didn't anticipate forming such close bonds with her housemates. The artists quickly became like family, fostering a sense of unity and shared experiences. However, maintaining a routine proved challenging amidst the excitement and enjoyment. On the other hand, waking up each day filled with anticipation to see her friends and embark on new adventures came effortlessly. Yet, there were moments when Jahnova felt a twinge of homesickness and the desire to find solace in seclusion.
With this new platform, Jahnova aspires to unlock a multitude of opportunities in the realms of tattooing, modeling, and acting. She hopes that her presence on the show will lead to exciting prospects and open doors in her creative pursuits. Reflecting on her experience, she admits that if given the chance, she would advise herself to let go of overthinking and trust her instincts. Jahnova wishes she had embraced spontaneity and worried less about the uncertainties.
Looking forward, Jahnova plans to continue her journey as a traveling artist, seeking new horizons and leaving her mark across the country. However, she also recognizes the need for stability and contemplates settling down, possibly in New York, to establish a solid foundation. As her visibility grows, Jahnova has adopted a more business-oriented approach, understanding that millions of viewers are watching her on television. She approaches social media and other platforms with a brand mindset, utilizing them as powerful tools for professional growth.

Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and don’t hear your own voice in your head, that’s a good sign you still have more work to do.
