Food Logos for Free Food

July 17th was National Ice Cream Day and who doesn’t like ice cream!? July 17th was also National Tattoo Day and who doesn’t like tattoos!? Brands like Drumstick and Subways are merging these two national holidays to win a chance to receive free food!

The ice cream brand Drumstick is running a tattoo contest through the end of July to win a year’s worth of Drumstick Sundae cones. To enter the contest, all you have to do is share a photo of either a permanent or temporary tattoo of their signature ice cream cone on Instagram or Twitter or both! Don’t forget to add the hashtag #DrumstickInk. If you cant commit to a permanent ice cream tattoo, get creative! Grab some markers or paint and post those pictures.

The sandwich brand Subways also had a tattoo contest offering free sandwiches for life to the first person to get a footlong tattoo on their torso. In Las Vegas, fans of subway sandwiches were invited to a block party where the first person to receive a 12” by 12” logo of the new subway series promotion logo on their torso or back was rewarded free sandwiches for life. The winner would receive $50,000 worth of gift cards every year. Subway also decided to give away a smaller prize for other individuals who get a smaller tattoo of the promotional logo. The candidate would have to get a 3” by 3” tattoo on their shoulder blade, forearm, or calf. Their prize would be free sandwiches for a year resulting in $4,380 worth of gift cards. In the end, James Kunz traveled all the way from Colorado to be first in line to win a lifetime supply of subway sandwiches. Kunz waited outside of Bad Apple for three days to get his first tattoo and win the big prize. Kunz told Las Vegas local news “I have been thrilled to have made it this far and to actually get the big tattoo.” There were about 8 individuals who received the smaller prize of a year’s worth of subway sandwiches. The lucky fans even got the opportunity to get their tattoos by DJ Tambe, the two-time winner of “Ink Master”.

Would you get a Logo tattooed if you could receive free food? If that answer is HELL YEAH! Even though the Subway sandwich contest is over, you still have time to enter the Drumstick ice cream contest. Contest ends on the last day of July, so go out there get your permanent or temporary tattoo, post it on Instagram or Twitter and don’t forget to hashtag #DrumstickInk! Goodluck!
